With atmospheric environment deterioration, the acid of rain has increased, it also causes some impact on the outdoor gantry cranes, the anti-corrosion becomes a very important focus of outdoor gantry crane maintenance.
Outdoor gantry crane anti-corrosion mainly have the following points:
1. If the outdoor gantry cranes steel surface paint coat was damaged, it is necessary to clean the surface and paint with anti-rust coat and decorative paint to protect the metal surface, insure the steel will not be rusted in the rain and snow.
2. At the active part of the outdoor gantry crane, such as sling connection points, guide wheels, trolly wheels, must do the rust protection carefully.
After the shutdown, the first thing is using the brush to clean these parts, remove anything can lead to corrosion, such as impurities, moisture, rust, etc.
Then, lubricate these parts with good permeability diesel oil, the oil will become protection film on steel surface. And diesel freezing point is low, so it is good anti-low temperature.
3. After cleaning and lubrication with diesel oil, should coat with a layer of grease. Calcium-based or lithium-based grease is a good choice, because these two grease is better mechanical stability, adhesion and water resistance, the freezing point can reach -20 degrees.
At last, must pay attention to that the grease should not be too thick.
