The gantry crane is mainly used for loading and unloading operations of outdoor freight yards, material yards and bulk cargoes, with high site utilization rate, wide operating range, wide adaptability and versatility. At the site of the gantry crane, it may be encountered that the crane braking distance exceeds the specified conditions, now we will analyze it.
There are two possibilities for the brake distance of the gantry crane to exceed the standard: one is that the nut is incorrectly adjusted, and the other is that the brake ring is seriously worn and the brake pressure of the brake spring is insufficient. For these two cases, need to re-adjust the brake adjustment nut according to the requirements of the user manual, or replace the new brake ring.
In addition to the above two reasons, other components can be inspected, such as: brake surface has oily dust, brake ring loose, brake contact of the brake ring is poor, motor coupling stuck, brake spring failure, etc, should clean, repair or replace parts according to actual conditions.
